Women's History Month
Women’s History Month is about taking a deep and celebratory look into the vital role of women in American history. None of us would be here if it weren’t for the hard work, patience, and grace of the women who brought us into the world. At every major point of change in the world, women have been present as agents of that change, and we stand on their shoulders empowered and grateful.
To kick off our celebration of Women’s History Month, we want to detail the ways in which women are taking their well-being into their own hands with the help of CBD.Symptoms of Menopause
Evidence suggests that CBD can help to regulate mood changes and promotes healthy sleep. While this doesn’t address all of the symptoms women experience, getting better sleep and being empowered over your mood go a long way to mitigating the symptoms.Hormone Regulation
One study suggests that CBD gives relief from hormonal imbalance by regulating the stress hormone cortisol. Participants in the study reported a calming effect related to the CBD.Skin Care
CBD has been shown to reduce inflammation and oil production associated with acne. “CBD normalizes ‘pro-acne agent’–induced excessive lipid synthesis of human sebocytes” is the way the study puts it. Additionally, CBD may reduce other irregularities in the skin such as dark spots, as well as strengthening hair follicles.
In the same way that CBD can help with menopausal symptoms, it may help with mood issues and overall mental health related to premenstrual syndrome. It can also provide relief from bloating and cramps.
